Lowering Springs

Hello everyone,

I have an EK3 with EK9 shocks and springs. I'd like to bring the car down a tad, maybe by 40-50mm. Does anyone have any suggestions of springs to use with the EK9 shocks? I read somewhere that using EK4 springs isn't ideal due to dampening rates..

I feel the best springs to use with OEM dampers are OEM springs. I bought my car with lowering springs and the stock shocks can't handle it, one leaked within months. This is not a rare situation. If you want to lower the car I suggest you buy a quality coilover or a tried and true shock-spring combo like Koni w/ Ground Control's.

Dino is correct but i know both dino and I have usdm civics and i believe the ek9 damper has different valving, i know the spoon progressive springs are made to work with the factory dampers, i have seen a few people on here speak highly of them but im not sure about real world results.
