Heys guys,

Just wondering does a b16a lambda sensor fit a b16b? Cause I can only seem to find b16a ones and none for b16b. Or if anyone can point me in the right direction? Thanks.

I had recent dealings with Honda regarding an O2 sensor - got a patent part first and it just ended up throwing an engine check light at me. So I got one from Honda and all good. It is the same part as the B16A from UK VTI

great ecu tuning capabilitites and extra detailed a/f ratio readings if you have a tuned engine

will the oem ECU still read from it though? or is this no good unless you have an aftermarket ECU?

you can wire it and work with the oem ecu. The signal it sends there is still a narrowband, however you can take advantage from it.

AEM widebands for example have a linear wideband output and no fixed narrow-band output. The AEM also has a serial output for its EMS systems.

PLX devices widebands are a better wideband in my experience and opinion. One of the biggest factors is that it has the 0-1v narrowband output and the 0-5v wideband output hardwired in. So this saves your tuner alot of time and hassle switching O2 sensors. The narrowband output would be fed back into the factory wiring and a ceramic resistor (1k-ohm) put in place of where the heater wires were connecting previously. :nice:

Not needed though. £250+ thats could be spent on somthing else. I fit a wideband to customers cars for the purpose of tuning then return the narrowband sensor after to allow closed-loop operation once its perfectly tuned.

id go with a brand new genuine honda one b16as have 2 that work together whereas ek9 only has one.

still yoy can find a plx or an aem for 250$. Of course there is the cheapest non oem honda spec way, You can buy a universal NTK, NGK or Denso narrowband. Actually honda has used several of these suppliers as stock o2 sensors. I bought an NTK sensor for 60e and it works great! My stock o2 sensor was an NTK one
