Hi guys, there is a knocking noise coming from the front end of the car but only becomes apparent when on bumpy roads or going up footpaths to get into my driveway. Could this be a drop link issue or bushes if so what bushes would i need to replace or could it be a bit of play on the steering rack a ball joint or somethin?

Just want some prelim advice before taking it to a mechanic over the weekend thanks

Aaron

My moneys on lower drop link mate, maybe a track rod end as these need to absorb so the bumpy roads makes me think this, I had the same problem a while back was a lower drop link
I dont think it will be a ball joint as they tend not to be a knockin noise as such mate
Hope this helps :nice:

i would say drop link mate they are most common to go

not expensive cost me £5 for one for my old civic

engine mounting - cam pulley side

engine mounts are bang on mate had them all checked thanks anyway

really that cheap ok ill look into it thanks

Cheapest motor factor droplinks in Ireland I think Ive seen was €15-20 for one , but they are crap , worth buying the Honda ones , way way better quality :nice:

As mentioned - engine mount/droplinks/track rod ends
