hey i tried this the other day and it didnt work!
there is 3 wires from the gbox sensor, 1 is black which i assume is the ground

one has yellow and black iirc and the other has blue and white?

i put the yellow and gray wires on the yellow and black wire and connected the red to the blue and white!

i checked all connections were secure but speedo stopped workin and entered limp mode!

taken the convertor off atm and speedo is workin again aint not in limp mode!

any ideas?

arite mate i have done a few but cant remember off hand which one goes to where i have the wiring diagram at my work i shall go fetch it and let u know u should have 3 wires on your wiring loom to the speed sensor and 4 wires on your delimiter/converter ? correct ?
and wat colours do u have on your delimiter and il give u step by step instructions as wat u are sayin u have done sounds in correct .

i followed the diagram shown on the first page

black from convertor to black on loom

only 1 wire on the loom has blue so i attached red from convertor to it

the other wire which i think was yellow and black, i cut and put the yellow on convertor near the VSS plug and the gray on the loom side!

i have a feeling the colours in the instructions didn't match the colours of the actual wires with me but all i did was check which wire is the live and which is the ground and obviously the last was the signal wire.

I have done loads of these and never had any problems. Could be you got a bad chip there. Sounds like you hooked it up just fine.

Hi

Does any one know where i could take a car to have this fitted and the clocks adjusted to the correct mileage opposed to KM

Based in the midlands area

Cheers

Hi people,
I understand you guy's have done a fair few off these, I was wondering if you can tell me how too install the sensor convertor behind my new EK9 clocks iv just got for my EK4?
Iv got a tuned b18c JDM engine which is going to get tuned at TDi on the 9th with OBD1 Hondata S300 so that is going to de-limit the engine e.c.t.

Also any tips on how too go about rlling back the odimitor so it reads correctly? I was going to poen it up and play but dont want to brake it :(
Any ideas?

James

The sensor dosn't go behind the clocks. The one you have goes down by the box in loom just above the VSS. This will make your clocks read in mph and will take the limeter off.

Thanks dude, but iv put it behind the clocks now and its working fine.
I had it on the conversion loom but it wasnt converting the clocks over?

anyway all sorted now as the car has just been remaped on hondata s300, so the limiter is off now anyway :)

James.

did anyone find a resolution to the problem with some looms having different coloured wires?

my loom has 1 black/yellow, 1 blue/white and 1 black

my car is up for mot next week so i didnt wana take the risk of having a guess

any one can tell me the location of gear box sensor , any photo please??????
