Hi all,
Got myself another civic, had it for a few months now and all is good.
The key has always been a bit tricky in the ignition barrel just due to the key being worn, but it's getting worse, I finally got it to turn in the ignition and the green immobiliser light kept flashing, f**k.
So got the spare key, which is bare metal with the chip just kind of resting in the key, and it started and turned no bother.
So, I need a new key cut and programmed but I don't have the red key, is there anything I can do or will I just have to tape up my spare metal key and just use that? Will try get a picture of the 2 keys up.
Also, the ecu set up is weird which could complicate the programming situation, the guy I bought it off says it has a hondata ecu with a mappable chip, mapped on chrome....the car is obd2a and the ecu converts it to obd1?
Hopefully someone can help. Thanks for reading all that.
Edit:
Black is the worn out one
Metal is the spare
