just got bumped!

I bought a door from someone to replace mines as it had a massive dent and got sent pictures etc, door was fine nothing major so I was happy. I WAS told about a small mark in the bottom corner which was hardley noticable at all and this is what I get today...

I got an email from the seller who has assured me it was not like that before he sent it and has contacted the courier company to try and sort something out

Get back in touch with them as it looks like it's been there a while (judging by the rust). Either that or it wasn't packaged properly and it got damaged in transit andthe rust was there beforehand

I know man thats what me and my dad were thinkin because how many cars do you know what you have that much rust there if it hadent been sittin bent already. Was pretty well packaged up tbh, but no doubt that will be his excuse it was either me or happened on the way. had been sent a good few pictures aswell must have took him some time to get all the pictures to miss out that corner!

I know man really bad, I have quite a bad dent in my car in an awkward place so thought it would be easier to get a 2nd hand door if possible but look wat happens :/
Anyway here is my dent aswell to show I have 2 VSM doors which as crap haha

AH mate, that sucks.. i sent a door to Wishy and the thing turned up with scratches over it that the couriers put on it...and i know they were not there when i sent it.... but this def looks like it was there prior to sending, specially with the rust...

ah dude feel for you man..
part of me was hoping you had gentle nudge from behind sor in front, cause i would have been happy to let you have those bumpers i've got..... sadly i've got no more doors mate .

I know Chirs brutal, some folk honestly I knew it wasnt goin to be perfect but that is takin the P**S tbh, as you said with the rust thats clearly not happened on the way. Also he packaged it pretty well

I know it really is, just got in touch with my mate who works in a body shop he says talkin at least 100buck!
Nah, once he sent it out he said he was goin on holiday until friday Ive sent him a message anyway so just need to hope for the best
Honestly dunno why people do this, best of it is he is goin to say it happened on the way

I did ask for pictures and got them just pictures were either took at distance or at an angle that never exposed this. End of the day it was described as in very good condition and in my book very good condition means you can attach the door to your car

Thanks mate, no much else to say really haha I just need to decide wat to do, depending on how much it costs to fix will either fix it or just take the motor, window out etc and try and get some my money back! well need to wait and see what he says 1st lol
Nah man, I actually got it from someone breakin their car on civiclife. I dunno if it is just a genuine mistake and the damage happened on the way but as many of you guys have said (also my opinion) goin by the rust looks like its been there a while and simply I have been bumped

it mosty likely happened in trasit mate, its always the case i've sent quiet a few doors and bonnets out and they have ended up like that. courier's dont give a **** and when it comes down to compensation they dont want to know.

I know it is a major possibility tbh, I mean the guy did sound genuine all the way through the deal but then again you never know some people just dont give a monkeys and would happily send out a faulty door, ive just no luck with that drivers door. A week after I got the car someone hit it in a car park lol

To be fair to the guy he has just emailed (from his holiday) and guaranteed it was not like that when he packaged it and has emailed the courier. As you can see for a bend like that right in the corner the door has obviously been dropped!
Will keep you guys posted
