intake designs vary hugely, all the "good" ones usually have specific purpose and some have overall compromise, oem usually compromise most simply due to fact that mass market needs quieter car and less chance of water ingress
some intakes aimed at bhp gains thorughout, some bhp gains top end, some torque gains and other 1 is throttle response, your choice comes down to what the driver wants
ive never seen j's up closebut does look like its aimed at throttle response
someone mentioned velocity stack, part of that principal is incorporated into most intakes (all oem do) which lot of people dont realise and is simply the way forward BUT not really something you can just mock up or buy, has to be designed specifically and tested on dyno for your car/engine to get best from your car
i have feeling the j's will will incorporate part of v stack principal somewhere
cool! nice info... I have the same feeling with the response increase with J's Racing. But I think if cold air gets ducted to it properly then we should be seeing hp increase throughout rev range. I have a dynotuner few blocks away from my house so I will get some before and after dyno results.
