Wow that's a good weight save!
Unsprung weight! Haven't heard that term used for a while.
Takes me back to the Motorsport engineering days
How much did the 7kg cost?
Throw in a lithium battery and save 4/5 kg over a "lightweight" battery, for a fraction of the cost
However saving on the unsprung weight always helps wonders.
Toyo R888r 225/50/25 9.9kg
235/40/17 10.6kg

Had so many issues with electrics all down to a poor connections. So I think (hope) I've found my TPS issue. I depinned the TPS plug and tried to slide the connectors onto the TPS terminals one by one. Each one was very loose, no real resistance to sliding on or off at all, 30 secs with a pair of pliers and they are now grabbing the terminals much tighter. I'm wondering (again hoping) that the vibration of high rpm was rattling the connection and causing the issue. Does seem a bit fair fetched to me but I don't know electrics all that well.
18 min datalog with various boosts and rpms show ZERO issues with the TPS trace and subsequently no knock either... maybe it's just coincidence, time will tell.
The logs did show up one issue though, Intake Air Temps(IATs) are just creeping over 40c with the hot weather. This isn't terrible news but it's hot enough. So I clearly need to move the air filter away from behind the rad/oil cooler.
Also need to play with the air temp correction table a tiny bit as the AFRs where a tiny bit richer (like 0.2-0.3 AFR) than they usually are.
I'll bring one to the ring! Just incase lolAmazingly I don't own an ohm meter. I'm that much of an electrical noob lol
Good to hear you think it's likely.
