Yeah, definately not cheap, mine are actually aftermarket 99/00 usdm civic hatchback ones, i paid $80 shipped!! I have spend over twenty thousand dollars on my car but some parts i think are just not worth it, like taillights:

Just keep one thing in mind, the 99/00 civic tailight harness uses a differnt bulb for the blinker to make it amber so you will have to either:

a) buy the 99/00 civic taillight harness (both left and right side)
b) paint your bulbs amber
c) try to find bulbs that are amber that fit the 96-98 civic taillight blinker (very hard)

I personally used option b and it looks great!

It's up to you, i would prefer to keep them looking stock for now and work on getting a front lip, that really makes a HUGE difference on the look of the car.

what do you mean? and when you say stock are you referring to 96-98 or 99-00? Mine are the stock 99-00 tails.
