Jamaican ek9 K20 build new UPDATE PAGE 7!

Need you to get some pics of my car Jesus they come out good. Lovely car jealous of both the car and where you live

ok huge update...

decided to swap the parts put of my DC5r and put it into this engine

parts include

hybrid racing tentioner
super tech valve springs, retainers and keepers
ips v2 cams
RBC intake

also purchased a 70mm hybrid racing TB

now 2 problems

first we lost 4 of the damn keepers...and the stock ones from out of my engine wont work with the supertech valve spings. got some from a stock 02 k20 ... those will work.

so engine build is nearly complete

cams in engine timed up

2nd problem is as much as we tried we couldnt get the rbc to fit with the full size rad... and i wasnt gonna go with a half rad in this climate of ours.

so we decided to opt out of trying to get the rbc to fit.

the radiator itslelf which is an oem rsx rad ...is secured unto the front just need to root the hoses... change oil filter and start up.

hopefully monday we can hear her purr

thanks... cant wait.. dont expect anything mind blowing tho. our gas quality isnt great so our numbers are usually much smaller than others around the world cuz we have to do less agressive tunes any where north of 220 and i will be more than happy. that would be almost 60 hp more than what i had in the b18b with way more tq. car should really kick ass :D

Car is finally on the road

here are a few camera phone pics from when we were bolting up power steering and a/c and a few extra things

a few pics day after still with camera phone ... soon gonna do my pretty pics :))

copped a full 3" system from my friend that had a boosted b ek build

gonna mod it to work with my header it apparently is very loud :nerv::nice:

next move is to do a full paint strip and then respray the car ... do an engine tuck and maybe roll cage install, remove rear seat ect :woot:

Those pics were taken out by Ironshore as the back along with the car is fabulous , cant wait to take a trip back home and chill for a bit, car looking good keep it up,

Ok ladies and gents.. back to modding

car is now back at the garage...why?

thats why...

i was able to acquire an SiR quick rack steering wheel , eg subframe and eg LCA and forks... basically switching to an EG/DC front end.

this is because i decided to just go EKK2 mounts and done

EKK2 mounts raise the crank higher, puts the engine back to the fire wall 2"s more, allows me to run RBC [sneaky] and gives the axles much better and safer angle.

draw backs...

1) have to change the ek subframe, forks and lca
2) have to move abs
3) lose ek9 front end including quickrack steering (fortunately thanks to good friends i was able to get an eg6 steering rack that should give me the feeling the ek9 has )

thinkgs to be done

1)engine bay will be completely stripped to paint
2) wire tuck and vacuum hose tuck will also be done
3) install new mounts and new axles
4)install rbc and hybrid throttle body
5)install new muffler system

let the work begin
