Hi Mates, a friend of mine is selling his Stock JDM ITR-DC2 4-2-1 Header (spec 96, 2.5" collector) and i thought of buying it for my ek9 (since i have b16a 4-2-1 headers), I have a 2.5" exhaust line... I think it'll be a good mod, what do you guys think?

Cheers
Enrique

It has stock suspension, if that's what you mean... i hope my low range torque improves a bit.

its nearly impossible to improve low range tq on a NA 1.6, anyhow i retract my previous statement, if this header your referring to is the OEM 96spec 4-2-1 header then its worthless... i though you were referring to the jdm 98spec 4-1.

The 96spec ITR header is the same as the EK9 OEM header, which has a 2.5 collector and is a MUST for an EK9. (Comes like that from factory)

A 4-2-1 B16A header is not sufficient for the B16B engine! All piping, even on aftermarket headers for B16B are larger than the B16A aftermarket one's.

Get the JDM header right away, and you'll see improvements straight away.

And for future upgrades get a header for B16B (EK9) or B18C (ITR), not B16A.
:nice:

As said, the ek9 4-2-1 manifold is the same as he 96 spec ITR manifold.
The 98 ITR 4-1 mani doesnt hang low at all though.

ITR stock 4-2-1 not advantegous over an JDM b16a header?, btw, isnt 4-1 headers mostly good when rolling in the high range?

nobody took the time to read what ellanosv wrote.

-he is asking if

ITR stock 4-2-1 not advantegous over an JDM b16a header?

In which case - YES IT IS better than the JDM 16A header.

JDM 4-1 is good, but the Vibrant is better with Toda being best.

Well, yes, the Toda as it's specs claims, is far better, yet the price is quite high as well... I'll get the ITR header this week :nice:

Thanks

TODA has one for the B16 and B18. The B18 has larger pipes, not good for the B16. But I'm tempted for one thats available locally..

however its not much difference...

I finally installed the ITR 96Spec Header, sound has change and car's response too :nice:

Hi mates, is anyone using the ITR DC2 98 spec header on your ek9? according to the graphics in[0] it will output the 185HP of the engine, and the stock b16b 4-2-1 header (said to be exactly the same that the ITR DC2 96 Spec) will output only 176HP of the power.
