i hope someone can help me...

following the installation of a HiD kit on my car last weekend, i have found that after hitting any bumps in the road etc my stereo would cut out for a while. this gradually got more and more annoying as the week went on! today i have taken a look at the battery, just for the positive connection to lift off the battery terminal without the use of any tools!

the terminal looks like this:

it appears the connector has been over tightened but this now easily comes off so i'm wondering if i can wrap anything around the terminal to make it fatter so the connector can grip it or if anyone can recommend anything else.

thanks in advance :)

my brother had this problem mate his terminal would not tighten even wen we were tightnin the nut on the terminal so we bought a new 1 from demon tweeks for 3 pound and its bk to stayin on no more power problems

loosen the bolt that tightens up the terminal, then push the connection over the terminal when its loose around it. Put a 10mm socket over the connector and give it a few taps with a hammer until the connector is down flush on the battery. be careful not to damage the terminal further! then just tighten up the bolt on the connector again. it should be nice and snug then! :nice:

thanks guys, all sorted now! :nice:

i followed elchunk's advice so the battery is firmly connected now but the issue with the stereo linked back to the rear speakers as they had been disconnected to install my suspension. it's all connected back up and working fine again now :)
