Is it worth replacing inlet manifold on b16b?

As title says.... i just got a spoon throttle body and was wondering if im better getting a new inlet manifold to match or is the performance gains minimal?

Can the standard inlet be bored out to match by myself? Or is it more of a specialist job?

Also im not running aftermarket cams, only spoon drop in filter with cold air feed, spoon 4-1, mid pipe and street backbox, de-cat and spoon ecu.

Is the side that connects to the inlet any bigger than the standard throttle body? if so how much?

Not sure yet , will let you know when i fit the throttle body...

According to Spoon there is a 3mm difference between the throttle body exit and the standard b16b intake manifold entry. So its up to yourself if you want to get it ported to match but personally I wouldnt bother for the cost to the difference its likely to make, as you wouldnt even notice it!

factory manifold should be portmatched to new TB. Stock manifold is good for your current mods, if you start raising compression, getting cams, porting head then yes upgrading it will be good but for now OEM is best for you.

Ok thanks for the info. So can i do it myself or is it a job for the machine shop?

best left for machine shop, god forbid you ruin your factory manifold just cause you tried to save a little bit of cash.
