well lads just wondering where ye guys get insurance im 20 and cant seem to get any tried 123.ie and they say they dont insure type r's yad swear that theses cars are aeroplanes:mad:
 
i have tried quinn aswell and they dont insure the type r's i have read here that you's get insured with 123.ie but when i rang he said they dont insure them have tried few other places aswell but no luck can anyone help me baught the car 2 weeks ago and want to get it on the road
 
say ull have to go as a named driver man... im 19 and got quote on my fathers name for 1500.. not 2 bad like :)
 
i think i'll have to do that what insurance group you with
 
probably have to lie like most people have to!i know it seems pointless payin big premium for a cert that wont cover you but lots are doin it!
 
well when i was 17 i bought my first civic.it was just a 1.5, no mods!i rang quinn and ask for a quote.they then said to me we dont insure males under 24 on any kind of civic.i then went on the net and got a quote off there website for 2142.two days later i paid for it and a week later got my cert,so even tho they said no to me over the phone the website gave me insuranca at a good price too.there has been no problems.oh and also at the time i was on a provissional.

so my advice is just try there website

yes ill give it a go i dont see the point in in lying to them people who say its SIR or just a 1.6 arent insured yea ill try the website thanks

Ive yet to meet a person able to get a Type R quote online???:nono:
Closest thing you,ll get is a quote for a Irish civic VTI or Sir and online quotes will be scary!:shocked:
 
They never insure type R's online.. It always comes up saying that you have to ring them to talk about details.
 
go onto the 123.ie online quote thing, gave me a quote no bother and i'm 20, the type-r they have is down as a 4-door though but still...

I got insured with these in March,went online got a quote and they rang me and cleared up the whole '4 door thing',its your only option bar trade policy or named driver.Or insure a 50 euro .9 Litre car for a month and switch the policy where theyre legally obliged to insure you once you've bought the car
 
well went onto 123.ie and was qouted 2600 third party fire and theft at 20 years on 3 years provisional liecence under the 4 door type r i tried the 3 door but would'nt give quote will quote be higher when change to 3 door

got insured with 123.ie 2400euro online thanks for all the help its under 4 door doh will i wait till i get policy then let them no its 3 door:nice:

u got quote on a provisional....u lucky bastard hahaha heres me waiting for my full to go buy 1!!! have it in 2 weeks if i pass getting type r few days later have one lined up and all!!!
 
when i ring them to change to 3 door does price say the same
