heya guys.
what ignition / HT leads do you guys recommend for the '9?
been looking at magnecor but they dont spec the b16b at all, is it better just to go to honda and get theirs?

also what plugs do you use..the spoon ones seem ridiculously over priced and i know denso do the iridiums specifically speced for the '9 for around £40 all in with delivery?

nology hotwires are good and denso iridium's, denso probably make the spoon plugs I no denso make HKS plugs all you paying for is the name I think

SPOON leads are one of the most highest quality leads. :nice: I want one!

so are we saying that Spoon leads and plugs gives better performance over stock? gains?

all plug wires are garbage, there are guys who make 600whp on STOCK plug wires, the only one i would get is NGK wires cause there made just like the oem ones, as far as plugs iridium or platinum should be plenty.

only asking as im getting them changed as part of a service etc. not as a mod so to speak..i can get the denso iridiums and magnecor leads for £100 But i dont know what the price on the honda stock leads are.

spark is as important as induction, exhaust and any other function of the running of an engine. If you have a bad spark then your car will loose power, so why not pay a little more for a quality lead and plug, ?

just to add my skyline was dynoed at 294 at the wheels, was told i probably had a bad spark, so changed my coil packs and walllaaa, 300hp at the wheels.

hmmm thats true, spark is important.

but i think we are specifically talking about the EK9, and mostly refering to the Spoon Leads and plugs.

has anyone has any experience with these? with noticeable difference?

and I think the EK9 already uses high quality stuff?

I'd recommend a Voltage Condenser to increase and stabilize the voltage. Has proven to increase HP. I'm getting a buddyclub one and will do some testing. It has some coool blue lights to light up the engine bay.. :D

I've seen good prices on ebay. Just got to find a trustful seller. I got mine from JDM land... :D Will install once it arrives and do some testings. Right now, my Power FC monitors my voltage and it shows that the voltage is jumping up and down non stop like its hyper. hopefully this should settle it down and give better ignition and promote timings.

Im using nology hot wires and NGK platinum plugs which i think are very good but NGK and ultra plug wires are also very good

Thought I'd say that cables will always be cables and if you don't have good voltage then theres no point. I've never heard of cables giving you extra HP. So a good voltage condenser kit will definitely be worth it as it's proven...
