how to make vtec louder on my b16

hiya iv been looking at those tegiwa carbon induction kits are they any good and will they make vtec louder than a normal induction kit also i want a new exhaust but not to expensive wat would you recommend .thanks
 
why do you want to make vtec louder ? exhaust is probably the best thing.

whats tegiwa?
 
tegiwa whales carbon intake is a decent copy of the j's racing one, but they wont make much louder noise than most of the induction kit. every induction kit make loud noise anyway. what do u mean by any good?! do u mean performance gain?! a nice exhaust will make ur vtec sound rather nicer.

tegiwa is the make i think there on ebay . and just want it a bit louder . and yer iv been looking at a few exhausts but dont no wat to go for

ok i see ill scrap the idea of getting a new induction kit then and get a better exhaust wat do you recommend make looks and sound wise but dont want to spend crazy money cheers
 
take out airfilter, airfilter box,resonator, intake arm and exhaust mani, thats should do the job
 
lmaoooooooooooo @ the replies ermm drilling a whole in an airbox helps but yeh making vtec louder all depends on the mods you have exhaust etc i also read the louder the vtec on a standard engine the less healthy it is as its the longer the cam takes to introduce itself not sure if thats correct or not
 
Exhaust + Induction kit will make vtec louder.
The Whales P**is induction kit is the best choice for more noise, difference is noticeable and definately the loudest induction kit i know of. Tegiwa or J's Racing
And most after market exhausts will sound louder. :nice:
 
The whales cock style induction kits ie: password jdm, tegiwa, j's racing etc sound epic in vtec ! not the best intakes as they do suffer from heat soak but sound sick ! :D

i used to have 2 eg coupe`s 1.5 ils vtec and 1 had just an after market exhaust (cat back off ebay) which did make a fair difference, but the other one had a short ram intake and an exhaust that was absolutely epic!!! but i never knew the make :( but i was told by a civic nut that it was worth over 700 quid and the vtec on that one was rediculously loud
 
aem long arm is another loud intake,id get it if i was for getting anything

This video caused two reactions:

1. a big smile on my face
2. having to buy Welcome to the Jungle from iTunes

As for louder vtec, I've got a Fujitsubo Legalis R which being Jasma approved means that out of vtec its pretty docile but on lift its much louder so the crossover feels more impressive over your usual 'loud' system
 
Dont buy the whales tool intake get an AEM, the whale intake is dyno proven to be worse than stock airbox
