how much should i sell myb18c+box for?

i have already had a bad experience recently with leaving my 9 at peoples houses in london with someone clipping my rear bumper.
then night before last night the weather got so bad i was forced to leave my car on a london street again.
the next day to my horror some fu**er has slid into the front.
what makes it worse is the wing mirror was broken of to and had a shoe print on the back. can this dude of seriously crashed into my car and took his frustration out on my mirror.dam snow.
i have been using my car as a daily drive but these incidents have convinced me it needs to become a weekend warrior.
so im going to do a k20a conversion this summer and completely track prepair the car for nurburgring.
as a result i need to sell my beloved b18c
its a 1997 jdm b18c with a 98 spec manifold. the engine has covered 60k miles and is in mint condition without a flake of paint missing from the rocker cover. it is still in my 2000 rx (one of dunk's) and would be ideal for anyone with a facelift ek9 as i have the obd2b to obd2a conversion harness so you wont need to buy one. of course it would be just as at home in any ek9
i will even throw in my bmc airbox and splitfire leads as cant be bothered to sell everything seperate.

as the motor is still in my car i have no problem in people seing the engine running but more importantly coming for a test drive

anyone who is unsure wether the conversion is worth while bring your ek9 with you and prepare to get smoked

also can i use my current zorst with the k20a? if not im selling my vary rare 5zigen border 304 system. might even thro it in with the engine for the right price.

if there is much interest then of course i will get my camera out

fogot i wont need the box either so thats for sale to would prefer selling the engine+box together as im in no rush to sell.

how much do you guys reckon its worth?:nice

although im unsure on a price its worth alot more than that.sorry:)
 
Would be tempted if i had a definite buyer for my B16B......
 
anyone got opinons on what i should seriously put it up for?
i have seen engine+boxes going cheap before but its a risk with your money when you have never seen it run or used the box. even worn synchros is going to hurt the bank.
i paid alot for my engine as i got to see it in the car first and the box is from a 2000rx so its as new as they come.:)

It is really tempting..

Not been on the scene long, so not 100% what they go for. I'll wait and see what the final outcome is.
 
see if we could swap it straight into my 9 i'd be game. Only for the engine and ecu though as i love my box and diff :D

i thought keeping them together would be best so people can come test it all working.:)
this engine with the manifold cost me nearly £2k from japperformance parts.:nice:

only way to tell for sure would be to test the water i guess and ask around, maybe on other forums too.

B18's are always wanted for upgrades etc and ppl break gearboxes/want upgrades too so i would think that they would sell separately too
 
it's far easier to sell a b16 than a b18...
A lad i know used to sell nearly 1 b16 every week to rally drivers, they dont use the 1.8's....
Cheapest i've seen a full conversion is about - K20 €3k, B18C5 for €2k and b16a for €1.2k, that's all in with box, ecu and drives etc...

not exackly i guarentee you could shift a b18c easier than a b16b. importers charge the same for both engines which one would most people choose?
i know you can get b16a swaps cheap as many of my friends have this in stripped out ek's, eg's and crx's etc:
they are still no match for my setup in any scenario:)
 
£400-600 for the gearbox? can get you the money by the end of the month! im in dire need for a new one mate my ones driving me crazy!:(( tell me to shut my face if im being ridiculous! lol

what do people reckon is this a reasonable price for an lsd box from a 2000rx? im no expert but would think nearer £600 sounds fairer than £400?

most people like us would obviously pick the B18 but theres far more rally drivers out there than lads doing conversions....
