has ne one tried one of these??? i'm considering buyin one off my mate, its 300euro, he sold his teg and took it out before he sold it. i have trouble with traction when racing so i was wondering how the launch control works also if ne knows??? and are the hondata ecu's any good???? i'd much prefer a apexi fc but money is low at the min...

launch control will not help your traction problem. its just a preset revlimit at 0mph then you drop the clutch and off you go. which hondata is he selling you?

Launch Control and Traction Control are two different features that have no interaction with each other!

is your car turbocharged? i cant imagine an na honda having traction problems, sounds like something is wrong, i have 317whp and zero traction problems, my friend has 236whp na in his civic and zero traction problems, can you describe these traction problems?

Say a drag race for instance, first gear, have the rev's at around 1500-2000, drop the clutch and she spins on the spot, i've half mastered it now though as how to get the best launch, there's still lots of spinnin. normal take off, first gear, nice and easy about 2000rpm, as soon as i put the foot down at about 4500rpm the wheels spin, i have to let off, wait for it to catch grip and then floor it again...

i wish my car did that LOL, its either always wet in dublin, your running 400+hp or you have cak tyres LOL mine only spins up in the rain

having thaught about about it........have you actually got any tyres on your rims???LOL sorry LOL

what tires do you have, you shouldent have that problem at all. and one more thing, ive noticed for me, if i ease the clutch out instead of dumping it it hooks up better.

sounds strange!!! i agree with the comments that unless u are running shite tyres you shouldnt be getting spin at thouse revs. i could launch my old SiR from about 4k without hardly any spin.

id review your tyres and driving style before anything

strange thing is, it isn't spinnin as much now but when i looked at my tyre's today they're gone down half way now in the last month and before that they were like new. i was thinkin new tyre's myself. i burned my last clutch out from lettin it out so easy when racing that now i'm tryin just releasin the clutch altogher

did you have an organic clutch before? if your tires are balding quickly you may have a toe problem, check the alignment...

I had the standard clutch and the pressure plate got worn out on it, i got exedy hyper carbon clutch and flywheel now..

Also look at ur tire pressure... too hard and it bulges OUT (centre of tire is contact patch)>>>no traction!!, too soft and it bulges IN (sides of tire is contact patch)>>> even worse!!!!:nono:
On street tires i have found a pressure of 27.5psi to be fine on a dry surface... and with BFG Dragradials around 13psi...

If the road is abit damp at all as soon as I hit vtec in 1st it spins like crazy then on the up shift to 2nd it spins but catches after A few seconds scary enough both wheels spining at around 50mph not much control on the steering :nono: also I have noticed that when racing in the dry its fine in 1st but when I rev to redline "9200rpm" and shift to 2nd it starts spining could be how hard I come up off the clutch or something. I have potenza tyres and good bit of grip left so dont think its that.

damp ground=tire spin for sure :) and the car spinning into second is normal too, if you **** a little lighter it shouldnt spin.

hondata s200 is the ecu. ne good??? i'm entering a drag racing thing in bout 3 weeks and want to have as much know how as how to stop my car spinnin. my spinnin is caused in the dry. in the wet my car will spin in 3rd and i could be doin over 100kmh/ 60mph

try lowering your front tire pressure to about 20psi and see what that does, also are you doing a nice smokely burn out before you launch? because you HAVE to warm up the tires first by burning out.

would it be an idea to swap the back tyre's with the front ones before i race??? Would 20 psi not be a bit too low??? what ever way the weight is sittin on them at the moment, they sort of buldge out at the bottom as it is with 30psi in them, i'd be afraid that at 20 psi the rim would be touchin the ground. i have two spare wheels so i might inquire about semi slick tyre's for them for the drag racing??? sound like a good idea???
