Ok so I will probably be going down the ecu route soon. Have had a quote of £750 (£500 for S300 & £250 for tuning), with this I am not sure what I get with the S300 in this package at this time.
So I am thinking the S300 can be had for much cheaper then pay for tuning, but does it come with everything I need? (EK9 2000 model). Dont require turbo/SC applications.
For example a quick look on evilbay which application is it or something else?

You'd need an ECU for those to go into aswell.

Which company quoted you £750 tuned? and do you have much modifications?

Do I not put it into the ecu that is in the car?
I will have 'Venturi' TB, Resonators removed with direct CAF, Legalis R with 100 cell sport cat. MFactory close gearset.
These guys are newish on the scene & quoted me (not looked at anybody else yet for costs)..

Wanting to check all my options, then after Christmas make a decision.

The EK9 ecu wont work with Hondata. its a PCT ecu. you need a P28 or a P72 ecu that has been SOCKETED to accept Hondata.
Is your ek9 facelift or pre-facelift?

Ah this is what I was wanting to understand, thanks. Facelift so P28 or P72?
My quote must include this, will have to find out.

doing the same thing in october hopefully. you need a p28 or a p30 ecu chris

Well funnily enough I have been looking at the Hondata S300 for my EK9 too. Is there no chance we could maybe a) see how many OBD2A AND OBD2B might be required by forum members, b) see if we could get a group buy going, c) are there any Hondata mapping gurus on the forum who could advise us.

What do people think. we night get a great base map on the site for download like the B18C map on the Hondata site to help those making the first change over and get them up and running.

In theory a good plan for the buying of ecu/parts, but it depends on when people would be ready to purchase - after xmas for me.
I wont be touching anything to do with it - base map downloads etc, I would pay somebody to do everything.
So if its too much hassle I will just go with the quote/company mentioned.
What quotes have you guys had? Will be in touch at some point Ricky, sort this tyre & some Hondata chat eh :D

hiatch: im planning to get yasir aka babybhp to do mine.
He is providing a very good deal on civiclife.net.
Im back next week tuesday, so will defintaley meet up then as i still have your spare wheel :)... also for a hondata chat :p

Haitch no worries at all. It was just an idea. The quotes I have received so far vary greatly in price I am just trying to clarify the exact cost of all the bits to get to then plug in..

You guys want Hondata! ?...

I have the Limited Edition versions in stock!
S300..

With built-in OBD2a or OBD2b adaptor (no loom modification or adaptor harnesses needed) & Hondata manufactured ECU with uprated capacitor and uprated transistor heatsink.

Hondata GENUINE remanufactured ECU.

Theyre ready to be plugged up to your loom! I only need to make brief changes to certain components if wideband input/boost by gear is to be used. :nice:

Drop me an email If you want one of these LE units.
Dynotunings available for a very competitive price.

EDIT: these are now supplied with show covers
