Hi guys,

I'm contemplating buying a set of HKS hypermax II that are coming off a dc2, combined with some Function 7 EK-DC2 rear LCA's so I can fit them (mostly because I can't find any EK coilovers 2nd hand or new ones in my price range!).

However I've heard they are pretty damn stiff....they are going to be on my daily driver, and I'm the UK so we don't have the superior smooth roads many of you have in the states :( Do you think they will be too stiff and break my spine?

Currently running Tein Basic's and they are ok, I just want something stiffer.

I was informed once that the HKS coilovers are softer than Tein street style but dont know what model HKS they were on about

That's interesting, thanks! So far I have only read about them being super stiff and back breaking lol. Keep the info coming people.

I have these coilovers, and find them very comfortable for street. Not hard at all... i think my spring rates are something like f8/r6....

My mate also has a set on his EK4, different springs for some reason but still also very comfortable.

So unless it's got different springs, i think it's very comfy for a daily... i'd definitely get them again
