Need some help lads :| when i fire my car up from cold ( EK4 B18C6 ) the revs are slighly to high, i know the auto choke is on but its right up around 1800RPM. After 3 or 4 mins of running it will calm down and idle around 1100 -1200RPM. How would i go about solving this issue ?

Any help is great.

Thanks

Try cleaning your idle control valve

I've cleaned it out already mate, its pretty much brand new. also tried the iacv from my b16a. no luck with that :(

Have you made sure the throttle cable isn't holding the throttle open a little? Has it always done this or has it just started to do it?

The throttle is fully closed mate, the cable looks in good order. By the looks of things its not catching. its been doing it ever since i've done the engine conversion :S. b16a to b18c6.

TPS calibrated ? idle adjust screw?

How would i check if the throttle position sensor is calibrated ? Unsure with the idle screw, for example if the revs dont drop from 1700 - 1800RPM which sometimes they dont, if i give it a rev they will drop and return to normal idle at 1k.

Yeah possible vacuum leak, whats the best way for me to diagnose a vacuum leak ? there is nothing obvious like hunting or a sucking noise :S any other way to discover a air leak ?

No access to the DC2 forums i'd have to sign up.

cheers

Vac leak somewhere I would say or the throttle butterfly isn't closing fully, you may need to adjust the throttle stop. Disconnect iacv and see what rpm it idles at
