hi guy, gals , looking to buy a ek9 type r for around £6.000, will be used as a daily car just woundering if there is anything i should be looking out for when buying one ? any information you could give would appreciated !!!

Just the usual thing's you'd check when buying any used car! Honda's are reliable as they come and the EK9's don't really have any major 'problem' area's. I suppose the gearbox would be one area I'd focus on, since it'll get very expensive if it needs a rebuild. The B16B engine is pretty much bomb proof.

At the end of the day, just make sure it's been well serviced and looked after!!

thanks for the nice welcome, I will own one soon but did not wanna rush in to getting one like today and for example not have much knowlege on them, buy one and promblems start but thats cars in general, wear and tear! thanks you guys I will now enjoy browsing the forums

You've obviously never owned a Honda!

On my 6th now and have never had anything 'go wrong' with a single one of them, barring needing to replace worn parts. I wouldn't worry about an EK9 breaking down on you though, chances are slim to zero!!
