Hi, I am new here =]
My brother give me his EJ9 :)) first car
here are some updated pictures

Finally getting the car back today. Replace a new CAT, but there is not probe hole like the stock CAT. so the mechanic just left out the 2nd probe. Fully running now, sense the power increase with the new IM. exterior mods and exhaust later~

Replace the exhaust to pass MOT. But had to weld with Bpipe as you can see ><
Might get some custom stainless steel exhaust at MIJ Performance Walsall, got a quote for 255 pounds includ VAT labour. Good company? price?

The swap paid 150 for the labour >< he was not that good

welcome mate will be an ek4 not an ek9, ek9 is the type r model :nice:
loads of good not to loud systems out there check out a few on youtube :nice:

Your car is actually a EJ9 if its an ek shape. EJ9 = 1.4SOHC, EK3 = 1.5 SOHC, EK4 = 1.6 DOHC

i am getting confused now ~~ i think it is a 2000 model, looks like a EK9 but 1.4L engine, the interior is same as EK9 mostly

Your one is an EJ9 as it came with a 1.4 engine in. The EJ9,EK3, EK4 looks a bit like an EK9.

I see =] thanks, so if i am looking to to change the exhaust I would look for EJ9 ones? any recommandation on brands?
 
I would only recommend the OEM ones for the 1.4 engines. When you are searching for exhaust look for 1.4 exhausts.

I see, how can I check which part it has change? do I think if I just take it to a garage and people there will sort that out? or would that be more expensive than DIY?

If you are not sure what you are looking for then you can take it to a garage. It will most probably be more expensive than doing it yourself.
