Start with a light rubbing compound like 3M perfect-it II, go to a polishing compound like 3M perfect it polishing, and finish with some wax. Or you could try any kind of scratch removal product and then some wax. But try to use the least agressive compound first and see if it works, if not use something more "gritty" and work your way up.

umm isnt the rubbign compound lyke 3M for sanding the car for it to be painted? i think i read somewhere that people use 3M sand paper or something on their car then paint it. Is that the same?

Try petrol on a rag first. If that dosent work try the compound r tcut. 3m have thousands of prouducts for auto repair. 3m perfect-it is a rubbing compound to buff up old, or new paint work that has been flatened. Petrol is also an excelent way of removing tar from your car without damaging the paintwork

it looks like bird poo to me!..

if you look reeeeaaaaaally close, does the laquer apper to have lots of tiny cracks, in a haze effect? if so it's probably compliments of your local pigeon and pretty irreversable

I've used Meguires, autoglym, turtle wax etc etc

nothing beats Kitten polishing wax cream No.1

umm where to get the kitten wax and how much it cost? btw i dont think wax would work here. I tried the turtle polishing compound and rubbing compound and it sorta took out the marks, but IT ALSO scratch out my clear cost of paint. any other ideas?
