Hiya. Has anyone done more than one kswap into a ek9? Iv just bought a k20 to drop into my ek9 over time as i want a real nice example of the swap. Iv got the dc sub frame and all mounting bolts incl engine and box etc. Id just like to know what mounts and header pipe would be best as iv noticed this can be an expensive stumbling block. Would the ekk2 mounts and sk2 header fit? Im not overly fussed about sump clearence as ill be fitting a dry sump system. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance.:))

If you do a search like i did you'll find everything you need man.

from best parts to use, to what you need to fitting it.

Yeah i could not agree more. Iv spent ages searching and will continue to do so. This is the only thing i have with a ? over its head. I just want to make sure that the mounts and header i buy fit up nicely. I find there are so many opinions on what parts to use it can be confusing for some one who hasnt been there before.

EKK2 mounts are good, have them on mine. The SK2 header is reputed to be a good fit, possibly being one of the few headers that allow you to keep your abs pump, a couple of members have the SK2 on here, might confirm.

Not meaning to be arsy pal - I got everything from here when I K-swapped.

also used this:

Dissect / Label K20A2 motor! Pics inside!! - K20A.org .:. The K Series Source . Honda / Acura K20a k24a Engine Forum

R-crew K swap header will clear a EKK2 set-up with eg/dc subframe. Ekk2 (hasport) will give best overall clearance imo.

As Haitch said, the s2 is a decent manifold (I was going to get one, however this R-crew one came up) - thought of going custom though?

You mentioned dry sump - race car? Assume you'll be ditching abs/ps etc?

Thanks alot. Im going for the hasport mounts and sk2 header. Iv only heard/read good things about them today. Love the look of the sk2 header, always helps.

We are looking to build a fast road/track day car. No abs but would like to keep the p/s. Will see how it goes, may well leave it out tho as only going to be a weekend car.
I want a dry sump for them welsh mountain back roads, some nasty crests etc. Not including the mahoosive speed bumps in town! Desperate not to smash the sump for obvious reasons. Dont fancy a steel sump and guard. Just dont want the worry as i can get abit enthusiastic on the roads.

You must be loving it now its up together!

I have a sk2 mega power header with hybrid racing mounts and all fits nicely. Only thing is mine is in a eg

I have an rcrew manifold with a k24 and it just fits. With a k20 there is more than enough room

I have R-crew K swap header and Hasport EKK2 set-up with eg/dc subframe.

Thanks so much for the replies everyone. Realy has been helpfull. Learning heaps from this site. Cant wait to be able to pass on my knowledge eventualy. Just stripping down the dc sub frame, steering rack, all bushes etc for a proper over haul. :)
