Heavy Clutch

When I drove my car last night after it not been moved all week the clutch was very heavy, after driving it for about 15-20mins it softened up. I never noticed this problem before and I dont think its the fact the car wasnt moved all week cause most the time I dont drive it during the week and never experienced this problem. Any ideas lads?

I never changed the clutch and I have owned the car about 8-10months now I dont know if it was changed before I got it either. Theres only 50k miles on the engine. I probally have only put up 5k miles if even since i got it as I dont use it as my daily drive. Could a gearbox oil change resolve the problem? Its probally due a change anyway. Is there much to changing the gearbox oil?

changing ur gear box oil upon ur next service is recommended. . . however i guess this will not fix ur clutch prob! :)

during the week did u drive any other car? i'am guessing maybe it seemed harder after not using it for some time while driving another car... some cars ive used seem to hve weak / VRY soft clutches when compared to my civic!! when driving mine again clutch seemed tremendously HARD! again, i currently hve Excedy stage II clutch :D

I had been driving a peugeot 306 which has a very heavy clutch so usually when I drive the civic it seems lite but its strange how it softened after driving for awhile
