I think we have stirred up a bit of a debate here aonghus, and by the look of things I'm on the loosing side

It's good to get people's outlook on this. As I said in your thread, I always run car's first on stock ecu where possible. I don't ask or wait to be asked by the customer if they want a power reading before I map the car. It's a given at this stage. Your point of view on this wasn't something i've ever heard been expressed before so I said i'd run a poll to see if other's were thinking alike!

I voted before and after figures, gives you an indication then what gains you have achieved from a map :nice:

I voted before and after power figures as its always good to know wht car was pushing before and wht ye ve achieved after.

Just shows no matter what you do.

You cant please everyone lol

defo get before and after printouts, nice to know how much of an increase your getting out of the tune

Personally I'm not worried about the figure toooo much.
So just an after figure and graph is what I'd expect.
If the tuner wants to run the car(if safe to do so) before any tuning then go for it.

Exactly. But if he did you wouldnt complain about it lol

Yeah,
I don't expect it from a tuner, but if that's how he wants to work then crack on.
Usually it isn't safe to go full load on an unmapped car though. Assuming that the cars past I/H/E mods like cams or a high comp build.
All I expect is an after graph and a good map.
