Has anyone else's premium went up?

Is it just me but my renewal came through and its jumped over 30% and that without me making any claims of having any convictions :mad::mad:

Last year it was £272 FC protected,,but for my renewal elephant want £370 this year....


Guess ill need to start phoning round the specialists :shocked::shocked:
 
jesus!! £370 a year thats cheap as chips mate. i've just renewed mine i dont own an ek9 but an ek4 i've just insured it fully comp for £700 at 19. not bad :p that was with admiral.
 
God ye get cheap prices over there.. Try come to Ireland.. pure scam over here :(:(
 
I've been with direct line for 4 years as a named driver, ive since got 2 years under my own name. its gone up from £380 to £600 this year! F that, my car's only a bloody 1.4 ej9!

Mate call them up and demmand to know why its gone up in that case? One thing my old driving instructor taught me about insurance is that if it goes up call them and ask them why, mention that you havent claimed or moved area and if they cant beat or at least match your premium from last year then you'll end the policy.

This has happened to me before and i was on the ball right away. They soon dropped it back a fair bit. It makes me wonder if they just do it to see ifthey can get away with it most times :angry:

It doesn't surprise me! You hit the nail on the head when you said to try the specialists!

Our premiums hardly change, if at all, at renewal!

I did try your company Tim, but you couldnt beat the best price i had.


Adrian Flux quoted me £245 which i though great,till i rang them to confirm it and i got "oh that company that gave that price,we no longer deal with.The best price we can now offer you is £500+" forget it :shocked::shocked:

I had a quote from Bell for £345,so i rang elephant and the price matched it ...
 
here yous boys r lucky. im abit unlucky in slide into the back of a girl at no more than 5mph she claim repairs and injury. im 20 had 2 years ncb lost that its now 2300 roughly
