Does anyone know of a b16b thats been sleeved i've decided to start building another engine for the ek9 and i'm wanting to stay na and build a high compression motor and rev the **** out of it so i was thinking about staying with the shorter stroke of the b16 but a larger capacity would be nice. This all depends if anyone would make correct pistons etc to get the right compression any help would be appreciated

I would not bother, why not just use a b18 from a vti where all the bits can be taken straight of the shelf

I got a quote for custom pistons from CP for about £550, add the cost of the sleeving and it does make it a very expensive build. It would be a lot of fun for sure, but the cost/performance balance is well off compared to a B18 or B20 build.

Make a short stroke 2L build

-contact R-motion who can have your block sleeved properly to accept their 85mm cosworth pistons which they can supply
-buy a set of B18 rods
-buy a B18 crank

boom that's a badass block right there!!!!!

can be issues with building sleeved blocks though as they require to be align honed and you need to take great care in lining the oil pump which may require some jiggery to get right. I would tend to leave the assembly of a sleeved block to an experienced engine builder

also going 85mm you will need alot of work done to your cylinder head to open up the combustion chamber to 85mm etc etc

not a cheap build at all, but should make good power

just had a look at their website might give them a call and find out what's possible :D
