Its hard not to be dissapointed when youve been waiting for a game this long I know I did expect alot myself but it has some upsides just like forza,

Forgot to mention day/night and weather is nice little feature :)

Yea course both games have pros and cons but some of gt5 cons i didnt think would even be on this game. I.e engine sounds.

My ek9 Pops flames which is cool ;)
 
Was going to buy GT5 after work
I'm a massive GT fan. I didn't like the last one too much but i'm still going buy it made my own mind up lol

We need someone who has a steering wheel for both xbox AND PS3 to make a comparisson, as controller racing really cant decide what its like as a racing simulator IMO

However the poor sounds would annoy me, like people say its not a massive factor, but when you've been waiting 6 years!!, maybe they should of got car sounds correct instead of making the scenery at the edge of track change depending on what event your doing!!!!

I need to play this. i want to be able to give an opinion!
 
its growing on me now as im level 5 and my ek9 is running 260 bhp with a S3 turbo :p

THIS GAME IS AWESOME! Actually was there at the 12oclock release.the turnout was abit lack luster but the game was worth it.
YOU CAN MODIFY NOW!! Not just tuning but full on modifiying !! And they have got some sick Japanese tuning houses in there, Amuse/Blitz/Hks/AEM (s2000).. totally awesome.

Also a few muscle cars in there !

i think its because i didnt play gt 3 or 4 so i dont really know that layout of these games and thought this games a bit ****/slow to get in to whereas forza was straight in to it... which what i loved!

still there are many things that i dont like... like not being to do the nordshleife!!!

Fanatec Porsche wheel is cracking quality and you can use it on both machines. :nice:
 
I think it's amazing! I'd completed GT4 100% and also got pretty deep into the prologue version... Game play is spot on l think and i'm also racing an EK9 already haha! Bit off topic here but has anyone played 'grid' on PS3? That was a sick game lol the handling was amazing... :)

I thought that you would be able to do that. You could in GT4, if I recall correctly.
But if the cars do not show damage, what would be the point to have the brakes upgradeable?
 
Played it for about an hour this afternoon with my Logitech Driving Force GT steering wheel. Impressed so far with the handling, it's bit annoying the cars sound so quite. Do they not get louder with tuning (exhausts, air filters)?.
