Grooved discs Vs Standard?

that's why people go for drilled and grooves.. for looks lol
Ahah yeah, maybe mate,i prefer only grooved discs because people that i know with drilled discs they have some problem but for now are good discs for me ;)

what blank discs do people recommend? I've had Delphi (appaenrly oe spec) werent that good

Mtec and brembo are good. I'm running brembo blanks with ebc yellows. Stops pretty well. I think good pads are more of a concern rather then discs

I supply Mtec discs as well as running them on my race cars. Very good discs for the price. I've been using EBC Yellows, Ferodo DS2500s and CL RC6 on them and they same set are still going after 3 seasons racing.
Hell I spent all day on Monday at Combe, did 120 miles and 80 litres of fuel and they didn't bat an eyelid all day!

Buy the cheapest blanks available and make sure to bed them in properly!!!

Unless you're planning on full-on race use I doubt you'd notice any difference between brands.

Regarding your Delphi experience, it's more than likely your pads were the culprit.

;)

Which pads would you recommend? I've been told not to touch EBC Greenstuff as there rubbish but I had them on a mk3 vr6 and they seemed to work

I suppose I'll be mainly using car as a daily.. although I would like to stop :p

Recommendation around £40-50+ ?

Oem Honda/Hamp at that price will work well.

I can only seen Nissin, checked google and Nissin ones are like oem?
They used to have Hamp
Yeah I got the Nissin ones on my ek4. Good pad tbh. You could up your budget and go for ebc yellowstuff.

For a daily I'd stick to OE standard replacement discs & pads, not crap quality stuff, something like Pagid or Delphi will be more than suitable.

Some fresh brake fluid also wouldn't do any harm if your's hasn't been replaced within the last couple of years.

It's surprising how well some half decent OE spec discs and pads, with fresh fluid and 100% properly working calipers, I.E. no sticky pistons / slider pins, work on both road and track.

Those Nissin ones are rated well. They are supposed to have a bit better initial bite than OEM. I wouldn't hesitate to give them a whirl...
