i would like to see pics of this rally car

who in there right mind would blow up a b16b and then install a rover engine

What you guys on about ? ? ? I would rather a rover K series to any Honda engine out there.

If it's for a rover I'd just look at a quaife. Very strong and goes well in rally conditions. I prefer a plate diff on the circuit.

Depends what conditions you'll be using it - tarmac rallies, gravel rallies, forestry or all three?

I've seen quite a few rover K-series engine go down with headgasket failure during the course of a rally, you can't beat B16b reliability, I'd sell the K-series and put a B16b/a2 in it if it was me.

dont put a gripper diff in as it will break the cross pins on the first run
i fitted a lot of them a few years ago [ about 20 ] all broke the cross pins damaging the final drive and making its way out of the gearbox casing leading to a very expensive repair

I can confirm that this is a problem with grippers how ever you can now by the cross pins as a 1 piece item and seems to be much better how ever this is in a micra rally car with a harry hockley dogbox.

Thank you for all the good comments and the bad!the help is very much appriciated!!!!!!
The car has done about 25 assorted rallies with out a fail!!!!!

WITH THE ROVER ENGINE IN IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
