Front end juddering under acceleration.

Inner driveshaft joint by the sounds of it.

It sounds like its run dry and is binding up.

I would be trying some driveshafts first

Bugger. Is changing engine mounts an engine out job?

What would you recommend? Innovative?

Fairly easy mate! Innovative 75A's or even Avid ones off here (shaun @ buddyclub sell them)

Cheers guys, unfortunately the spare shaft I have is from the wrong side :(

Also, there is a chance that I may have ****ed my gearbox/LSD looking at how the shaft is moving around. So, as a quick fix I have a gearbox from a crx (b16a) but its not got an LSD. Would this fit on (it has the drive shafts too) and how would this affect my car being without an LSD? And with my car being turbod?

Finally, would those driveshafts from the b16a box fit my ek9? I'm guessing no. I could just have a look I know but they're in my brothers lockup and it's will require a good hours of moving sh*t around to get them, I'm lazy.

Thanks!

Do you mean there is a bit of play between the cup and the diff? That is quiet normal and as long as you aren't getting any oil leaking it's fine. Those shafts would fit but aren't as strong as the the type r shafts.

The mounts are easy to change, do them one by one and support the engine/gearbox with a jack as you go

Ah ok hopefully a new driveshaft will sort it then. Just got to find one now :/

Engine mounts will be next in the list!

I'll use one of those b16a shafts for now. Can anyone else confirm they will fit, they are off a crx without an LSD or abs

Thanks.

They will fit. You'll throw an abs error code if there is no trigger ring on the cv joint.

This happened to mine and when i took the shaft off and pulled it off the cup all the bearings fell out in a million pieces.. Or there abouts. The drive shafts had only done about 25-30k... And they are made by the same company as tegiwa ones, judging by the pics on ebay. Wouldn't touch them again!

Ok thanks, I'll put one in as a temp fix.

So you had a Tegiwa one in?

What driveshafts do you run now?

Tegiwa are sending me another drive shaft which is great. Hopefully it was just a faulty one.
