Hi guys,

I have a point about caster alignment!I believe that the positive caster angle provides accurate steering.

I believe that the right way for caster adjustment on double wishbones should be done by lower wishbone.Actually, some tuners provide upper wishbone caster kits like SPC or Whiteline. This kits maybe maybe cause heavy wear on bushings or arms because the forces are not balanced on two wishbones!!!

I consider that I can fix custom-made caster kits with washers and worms on lower wishbone. You could reccomend to me solutions or diy for customs caster kits?

Never heard of caster adjustment on the lower arm, too much hassle involved I should imagine, you'd have ot move the arm forwards, I don't really see how you would do that.

We don't really need that much caster in our cars anyway, it is more of a requirement for MacPhearson strut equipped cars as they gain no camber in roll.

You have a mistake!!!

The positive caster provides accurate steering!!!The ef series has 1.5 degrees positive caster!!The eg and ek...have zero degree caster!!

Almost all trackdays cars use traction bar!!!Traction bar combines caster aligment with front chassis to be steady.

I think that the civic up to 95(eg),the lower wishbone is separated in two places!!So you can use washers or other additive material between two places in order to give positive caster!!!

Ek's has monoblock lower arm and i should find other solution to provide positive caster!!

What do you mean by accurate?

Have you got a link for that? I recall seeing the EK had 1 degree? No car should have zero!

Well if it does have a split lower arm then I did not know that, I thought the traction bars were to stop the toe angle changing under acceleration and braking.

Why is the usual method of caster adjustable upper control arms not suitable?

We sell Bush kits and CNC bump steer kits, they off set the lower wish bone we also use traction bars on the front to get that little bit more and stop the wheel hop and toe angles changing, when you do this and go to these lengths you also need to look at the angle of the steering rods with regards to bump steer, we make CNC machined inserts that press fit into the hub we then fit our modified track rod ends this also massivley improves the handling, if you get me :)
