Apologies if this topic has already been covered, but I searched the forum and I haven't found any mention of the company I am about to suggest. I searched the web for ages to find somebody who makes the Recaro headrest's, eventually found a company who could help me out. Only problem is they are out in Australia….

Seems a bit extreme to order some headrests all the way from the other side of the world but I really couldn't find anywhere else that makes them, unless any of you guys can suggest somewhere closer to home? His website doesn't offer an option to ship outside of Oz but if you e-mail him he is more than happy to post them over here. :D Anyway some photo's of the product, received them today:

This is what they look like in the car (different lettering I know), this isn't my car as mine is still in Japan :p

Overall I'm chuffed with them and the quality is really good. :D They cost me about £30 inc P&P which I though was pretty reasonable, he will also offer discounted prices if somebody wanted to organise a group buy? You can find them here:

There are 2 options the "fat" version (which is the ones I have) or a "skinny" set and are available in red or black. His website also offers some awesome branded parts as well, one of them being Takata harness pads. :) Anyways I hope this helps anybody that fancies a set in the future. :D

wish they where genuine also, letters are all over the place.

Assume these are for when VTEC kicks in & your neck is broken by the acceleration?

I'm pretty sure all headrests for the SR3's are replica's, I've saw a few switch hands over the forums as genuine Recaro headrests, but I was never convinced.

Look like they add some comfort, and a headrest is a headrest really :nice:

Thanks for the write up, glad you like them!

Just confirming, the ones pictured on the SR3's aren't our ones, our letters actually line up!

Recaro didn't release these as an official product off the shelf so I don't think you would find genuine ones anywhere unless somebody had a custom set made by recaro.

As for the lettering, I presume you are referring to the last picture with them fitted to the seats? If you are, these aren't the product I was sent, it is just an example of what they would look like in the car, they are a different set fitted to someone else's ek9. The lettering on my ones are perfectly straight and are a pretty close copy to the real deal.

No worries, yeah sorry for including that picture it's a little bit misleading as they aren't the same as your product.
