Well I got authorisation from insurance to go ahead with the repairs, so i thought why not make some changes while im on.
Most of you have seen the car in my build project, i got tired of that look and decided on the more subtle oem look.
So i got a new rear bumper and boot lid, i had a nighmare getting them though finally sourced what i needed from Metro salvage in Bolton who totally screwed me over.
I drove there, it took about 3 hours due to traffic to find they closed and had not got all the parts off the car and not informed security i ended up leaving with a damaged over priced boot lid bearing in mind the fuel cost.
this was described as in perfect condition
i would never recommend them they really didnt care that they made me drive all the way there for almost nothing.
The other parts i wanted were also damaged so i had to source them elsewhere.
so here is the car in the body shop
i thought i may as well get the dents removed from those pesky shopping trollies and other peoples car doors
my bonnet was the only pannel that required a total strip due to damage and a discovered hole
due to the damage of the new boot lid it had to be repaired first
Here is the car in primer
and now in paint
now colour sanding and mopping
