Guys should I purchase some fogs for my facelift 9??? I'm in two minds were to or not. Im thinking of black housing with smoke lens. Pics guys ???

i had some aftermarket ones, they cracked. so i paid £300 for some genuine ones, a week later, a stone hit one, gutted.

the only ones worth getting are genuine one's as they are actually strong, but like mine, if something catches them right, they still break.

took me quite a while to decide to fit foglights, really liked them the past 6-7 or so years ive had them on but recently had notion i want rid of them.

pic from approx 6 years ago when i first fitted mine.....

ohh mine are not oem and still no cracks in lense!

the secret is to cover lense with 3M protective tape or likes which in my case was already coloured yellow to match the fogs, its thick tape and has held up for past 7 years in my case.

they look cool in my opinion get em carbon wrapped or laminated and that will give them a bit of extra protection. might still break if something hit them though

carbon wrapped glass lense? now that would get people talking :)

the foglight surrounds are fine its the glass unit itself that can cause the problems.

go for it! these cost me £40 off ebay and i had no trouble in the years that i had them on! :woot:

yes if the surround on the light is the same colour as the car looks well

Tricky one, once you have done it there is literally no going back... unless you buy a new bumper.. I think it looks good with grey surrounds, looks a bit sh!t when colour coded imo

I think they look nice when left black or carbon with a matching colour lip but if its a champ white 9 with stock lip then i wouldnt go for fogs , personally want to get rid of fogs of my vsm ej9 but would have to get a new bumper(facelift). i would get them if i had a prefacelift though.

Im in the same boat here, dunno whether to get them on my EJ. As you say once they are on there is no goin back

I have had my fogs for 2years now, and got them off ebay, they look the part and I haven't had problems, I say go for them as its the best move I have made to have them.
