Fn2/fd2 type r seats

Orite dudes! Just wondering if anyone has ever installed the FN2 seats in a EK chassis, got a set of these seats at a bargain price. Unfortunately it isnt as easy to install as I thought. Looks like I would have to get them modded ... Just wondering if anyone has been in the same situ or has any ideas on what to do.

I know a guy who has them in an EK, I think Hond-R put them in for him so it might be worth ringing them and asking them how they did it.
 
Thanks for the reply, Wish they were based near scotland.. What do you think of the seats in the EK? Not sure whether to sell them and just get a set of DC2 recaros.. Seems like too much hassle fitting fn2 seats. Going to call Hond-R and see waht they have to say.
 
I think they look awesome and they're comfy as f**k! the 2 downsides in my opinion is that they say type r on them which might look a bit crap in a non type r, however the guy I know has them in a red EK4 and it does look quite good. they also weigh loads so for a performance point of veiw that could be a pain.
 
i think you just need someone to confirm what seat rails you can use to install them.
 
From forum experiences they usually sit pretty damn high from what people say, Personally, I think they just don't suit the Era of the car either. But you right you would probably have to get these welded to your OEM EK rails.
 
Just got off the phone to Hond-R. The guy I spoke to was extremly helpful... Yeh the seats do weigh quite abit its the SRS air bags that make it heavy. I have to mod the seats rails which isnt too difficult or i could be lazy and send them to Oxford, I have a blue ej9 lol but i am sure they will look lush once I have them installed, with the ek9 door cards and carpets.

The guy i spoke to said they sit lower than ep3 seats
