Had my first outing in the teg yesterday at knockhill, the car was spot on just felt right at home and was suprising a few cars, ill get some pics up tonight but i will defo be doing that again i had so much fun although ill defo need new tyres for the next one haha

Only problem i had was the oil was getting extreamly hot, i was wondering wot oil temps are people getting when doing track days, mine at one point got between 125-130 degres. I let the temp get to 120 max after that point before i let it cool down and went out again.
 
You are safe enough with oil temps at 130 providing you are using oil of a good grade and good viscosity and aren't losing too much. If you are worried you could always get an oil cooler hooked up. Glad to hear everything went sweet, any pics or vids for us?
 
I wi hoping be doing the same with the EG I recently bought, gonna try and build it up myself! Current working on stripping the interior :D
 
Elvo thanks for organising it, was easily the best track ive ever done! The vids turned out great too! Once i get the internet installed ill put them them all up.
 
I was up lastnight, yourself and the ek9 were holing your own i must say. The 9 was staying out for a bit too long imo and not giving it cool down laps, although im sure he knew what he was doing.

EDIT: Im assuming it was wazer in the 9! Wazer what brake pads are your running just out of interest?

Haha me too mate! Cant get over how nice knockhill is to drive... :)

Trackweapon - literally changed the pads to ferodo ds 2500's an hour before track. Only had fronts though. very good pads, no brake fade despite the smoking brakes! Lol

The car felt great, and was doing 25 min odd sessions. Temps were low-ish, with oil topping 100 and water 76. Cannot wait for this big brake kit!

Was a brilliant track day, surprised even myself with how well a 140bhp lotus can drive on budget tyres, wazers car is a proper weapon though, I need some semi slicks!!

It was a good night. I'm glad i came up.

Wazers car was flying. Was distroying the RS's in every way :clap:
 
Sadly i cant get the vids up till i get broadband on the 15th :(, love dans one in his elise!!
 
Yea wazers car is extreay quick lol i had to keep doing cool down laps as my oil Temp kept getting way to high.
