So, next big update:
sadly the cam didn't want to work (batty was empty) but i will post soundfiles, videos and Pictures after eastern holidays @ the nürburgring.
anyway, i mounted some parts last few weeks:
1) Type-R decal on the left side was replaced thru a new one, because the old one was damaged -> car looks like new now
2) HKS SLD Type I was mounted! thanks to the guys here for their advice and help! performs well, was not able to check if the limitations was deleted yet because i didn't have any numberplates with me for testing on the roads.
3) C's Short stroke shifter was mounted -> Hell, this item rocks
about 40-50% less shifter-way, and the shifter sits much stronger now, really great, would recoommand this item to everyone
4) now the most important part, the exhaust system!
Hell yeah, sound is really awesome! great deep rumbling and in higher revs that really great Race-sound! was not able to make some performance checks because i only was able to drive around the parking in front of my garage
but will post performance-check too after easter on nürburgring
ok, made some measurements too:
1. Parking car with no throttle - 80dB (it's great, top deep rumbling)
2. different throttles on parking (car was not mooving, butt pushed the gas pedal) - 85,5 dB (sound is absolutley porn
and measurement is ok!)
3. Drive-by measurement (about 1m above ground and about 4m between car and measurement -> 93dB (about same measurement as for swiss new-car homologation that i still have to do with my car)
way too loud
max allowed for this measurent (drive-by) is allowed 74dB for all cars newer than 1995 builded.
so now i have to mount any extra silencers like this one and the usually silenvers for the tail-pipe, hopefully the sound will be not that loud anymore and ok for the measurement!
please note that our measurment was really not that proffessional as they do where i have to check the car so there may be differences, but im sure i will get the care including the whole exhaust systems street legal this summer. but until then it's a long way and a lot of work i think, but ok. i think i have to do that for having the one and only (street legal!) ek9 here in switzerland!
law here really sucks
have a nice weekend - Nils
