Finally My Ek9! BIG Update P.2 (Nearly 3 years)

Well i have wanted one for years, an it was about time i got one!!

Bought this little beauty on friday an love it.
Needs a little bit of work, but what car doesnt really?!
Few things i wana change, first up is the exhaust.But unsure on what to go for.

Heres few pics an with my Ek4.
Will pop a spec up later.

This was after the 350 miles when i got it home so not even been washed!

Any advice or opinions for the latest Ek9 owner?!

Welcome to the club

I think those are EK4 headlights on your EK9, so you might want to look into getting some EK9 headlights.

Any plans for it? And what size are those rims?

Looks clean are they te37's on it? I take it the sub cable is going. Be good to see a spec

yea need to find some lights, doesnt look to be signs of an accident but you never know!!or sold on!
they are 16" Rota Grids on it!second best to TE's.
The bonnet will stay as long as i can find a close replacement for the ek4.
think ill also keep manifold too!
the Ring sticker is Defo coming off!!!altho i have passengerd 3 times, i never put one on.
although this Will be goin end of the summer (thats the reason i bought one).

the interior has just been valeted an is mint.
but to help the wear, the fronts have been swapped over.

Maybe they are the correct headlights and it's really not an ek9 but an ek4! Just kidding some very nice rides- i'm lucky just to have one project but to have 2 would amazing except I would be very poor

unfortunatley for my money situation i also have a 205 an a mini (in a topic below)
but i love it an enjoy it so isnt too bad!!

Well over due an update!!

Since this i put a Mugen centre pipe and Twinloop on an really happy with it!!lovely note an looks like it was made for it!!

Next up was the lights. At the mo they are only painted ones as want to find a good set at the right price. Completely changed the look of it though so glad even if its temp!

Also didnt have much history with so gave it a full service including timing belt kit, water pump an gear oil etc. as well as a fresh Mot. At least now i know when everything has been done.

Put a set of Vibe door speakers in an plan on upgrading headunit and rear 6x9s next. But i have had a decent alarm fitted first so that will have to wait!

The engine bay didnt look right to me so picked up another strut brace an had a go with some painting! I know a lot wont like it and wasnt sure if i would myself so its all easy brackets an wont take long to change back.
But im liking it at the mo so will stay until i get bored!

During this time i got 2 pairs of Takatas as well but they ended up going in my mini for this year as you see them in plenty of 9s but never in a mini!
My local boys think im an idiot for it but again, easily swap!

Think thats about it really other than the usual lil bits.

Oh an i persuaded my mum to buy a EP3!! looked mint with standard but white wheels on but she wasnt a fan an got nicely refurbed ones. Had a white dash panel too which she dint like....now has a carbon wrapped one in!! an she says im bad!!
