although I doubt you'll get rid after getting it on track !

few updates, finally got round to sorting my wheel bearing out

fitted my light seals
old ones

new


sorted my old fog light out

new

newer back caliper

cracked my steering wheel hub !

bought a slightly shorter d1


also fitted new rear drop links. MOT is due next weekend but I'm really tempted to take the car off the road for the winter to get my arches done and the rest of the paint work sorted out once and for all.
Could possibly turn into a summer only car.
 
I was looking at the patch of rust thinking "ouch, you need that sorted" but then you mention you are gonna anyway haha! How did you manage to crack your steering boss? any excuse for a new mod ;)
 
only noticed it when I was fixing my broken horn so just ordered a new one, may have cracked a bit when i last fitted it and I've split it when taking the wheel off
 
That's the car now officially off the road for the winter.

Works van FTW !

Just in time for winter ! Is there much left to get it on the road ?

Finally got to a point that I can take mine off the road for a bit and get the paint nice and fresh again.
 
I still need to do a proper shoot of this car! Give me a shout when it's back on the road dude, need to catch up at some point too :)

Deffo get some pics when the paint is sorted. Can see the blemishes even with an iphone the now.

Count me in! Just be praying the snow will never arrive.. Ever

Not much to go I don't think. Waiting for mechanic to get hubs over and engine really and we're basically good to go. MOT as well actually haha
 
I did all the mot work for mine so hopefully it goes straight through after the paint work with no issues.
 
Got a works van full time and seeing the civic parked up in the garden feeling sorry for itself, convinced me to finally pull my finger out and got the work started on the rear arches etc, if anyone has a bit of rust on there civic it'll be deeper than you think !

I 'only' has some surface rust starting to bubble up so bought some new arches just in case.










bit more metal work and hopefully be painted and ready for mot in two weeks.
 
Great work getting it sorted properly!! Had to do the same myself on my old EK4
 
Brings back memories of my mk1 golf, good job job you're getting it sorted properly!
 
Nice job with the metal work, looks pretty tidy so far.

Surprising how bad "just a little bubble" usually turns out to be, used to do arches quite often at work,

A small spray of cavity wax in there when it was new/ freshly imported and it would probably still be in good shape
