Facelift or not??

hehe... The car standard is a great machine already... my advice is to drive it standard first, appreciate the work gone in the car, and when you get bored, or find imperfections, then change it.
With breathing mods, company brands such as:
spoon, mugen, buddyclub, skunk2, 5zigen, kakitmoto, fujitsubo etc

Well said:nice: you will never appreciate or feel the differents of performance upgrade parts unless you drive the car as stock for awhile and then apply the parts. my previous car which was a toyota levin bzr came from japland! fully tuned, toda cams, 4branch you name it. I never realised the effect these parts had until after I sold the car and took a spin in a stock one  still cant beat the vtech :D

Get the pre-facelift the smooth front bumper will give less wind resistance

To clear some things up, Obd1= 92' to year 95', Obd2a= 96' to year 99' Obd2b= 00'+. Which means even the pre-facelift ek9's have obd2a.
Most of the best tuning options (crome, hondata) work best with an obd1 ecu, and a conversion harness is easy to come by.
As for the pre-facelift being more aerodynamic than the facelift model, I really dont think honda would do an updated model that was less aerodynamic. One thing the facelift model has is the side pockets on the bumper, which can be used for foglights and air ducts at the same time.

Cheers Dino-Spumoni for the extra information. It's good to have a little community that supports the EK9 :D
