im over on ukstarletowners.com and already caused a huge argument with this whole civic vs glanza v thread lol and basically im in two minds.

i want a glanza v there boosted small nippy and realitively cheap but i would also love a civic preferably jordan and eventually boost it aswell, racetech got this deal going on and its all relatively cheap aswell but i need to know engines and everything

Civic jordan , swap for non jdm b18c4 low compression then boost? is there a particular thing i need to look out for ? is there a place that does a engine conversion package? rough cost of swapping one and so on, i just need someone whos experienced to sum it up for me because im really struggling to get my head round all these different engines and vtec and the us version and jdm and non jdm and so on. :angry2:

so, i want a civic. engine swap. eventually boost. help:please:

I'm sure racetech could probably do the swap for you. Is there's any reason you want a b18c4 ?

He must have been told this was the best/easiest engine to boost and make power from.
I'd just stick with the b16a that's in there and boost that. Saves a fair bit of hassle. But then I'd only want around 250-260hp.

Yeah was gonna advise this, if you find a decent example of a Jordan and the engine is good I'd just boost that.

hahaha i think its getting closed soon im just in two minds but everyones gone nuts over it some agree with hondas others are not so like minded lol
Boost the b16 ,better in every way than a glanza.
thats what i thought but power to weight and not as common and so on :/ ?

i thought b18c4 jdm or non jdm? has lower compression on bottom end so makes it perfect for boost and louder vtec higher top speed all that malarky ?

i really just need someone to sum it all up for me weigh the odds out and be not biased if possible, dont know a lot about civics it confuses me :( any help much appreciated:)

As said above mate, depends on what sort of power you want to be running etc.. but the standard B16A2 is fine for boosting. I myself have a civic jordan, supercharged and makes 220whp (260-270bhp) thats on stock internals, have been told the standard engine is safe upto around 300bhp before going forged internals etc..

If you sign upto the CivicJordan.co.uk forum there are a few guys on there running turbo/supercharged setups, think they're on here too, one guy has turbo'd the original B16A2 (Dav) and one has used a B18 (Keith). In answer to your question yes B18C4 is a UK engine, was taken out of the Civic MB6 (basically a saloon/estate version of the hatch). If thats of any help?

They might be light, but that's about it.

Civic is a better car in every way.

It's completely subjective

"Oh I've beaten this car with this engine and this setup, and there's no way that car could beat it" - It's all classroom nonsense.

Drive both cars, see which you prefer, work on your chosen marque. No amount of words on a page are going to make you enjoy your car!

FYI - I chose a Honda because it offers everything I want and I've been around them since before I can drive so I know them like the back of my hand - I've been tempted to move to other cars, but I think why would I bother? The grass isn't always greener...
