gonna replace my engine mounts in my car.. just wanted to know how many i need to order 3??? also are they a pain in the arse to fit?? suggestions welcomed on how best way to do so..

Not too much of a pain, the rear is the hardest, no tricks really just take your time and as always air tools help A LOT and you will need 1 or 2 good jacks :nice:

Do the bolts holding them need to be set to a torque spec. R as tight as u want?

When I changed mine I just tight them up as much as possible. Making sure I don't tighten that much so I don't get in trouble when I need to replace the engine "new" mount.

remember to jack the engine up to take the weight off the mounts so the bolts are easier to take out

other than that its handy

There are 5 mounts in total, not 3

-Rear mount that sits on to of subframe
-Gearbox mount
-Damper mount on the cambelt side
-2 x lower torque mounts

There are torque settings for them but it's near on impossible to get a torque wrench in about them, good and tight by hand should be fine

Rear mount is a total pain to get to, be prepared for alot of shouting and swearing. Would reccomend some sort of aftermarket mounts ratehr than oem, better response and they will be longer lasting too since the oem honda damper mount is liquid filled and aftermarket ones are solid rubber :nice:

After markets are polyurathane filled. OEM are oil filled.

by filled, I think you mean solid polyU.

Aftermarket mounts are usually available in a variety of hardness levels. Depending on your budget and your expectations, you may want to stick with something from hardrace or if you can accept a little vibration, then energy suspension inserts work quite well.
