Every 3k? Damn its going to be expensive, as this bottle of 5L 0w40 Mobil1 aint cheap at £40 lol
I do it every 4k miles, even the local honda dealer recommends this.
Why?
Because the distances here are very very short, just imagine if I drive 350 km north I'm in mexico hahaha. And 90% of the time the car runs on a "stop and go conditions". And also my country every corner has a damn mountain hahaha.
Honda considers "severe conditions" (taken out from a civic manual)
Follow Severe Maintenance Schedule ifyou drive your vehicle MAINLY under one or more of the following conditions:
- Driving less than 5 miles ( 8 km) per trip or, in freezing temperatures, driving less than 10 miles (16 km) per trip.
- Driving in hot (over 90 F or 32 C) conditions.
- Extensive idling or long periods of stop and go driving.
- Driving with vehicle-top carrier, or driving in mountainous conditions.
- Driving on muddy, dusty or de-iced roads.
- Replace engine oil and oil filter every 3,750 miles (6,000 km) or 6 months.

- Replace brake fluid every 45,000 miles.
- Inspect front and rear brakes every 7,500 miles (12,000 km) or 6 months.
