Engine block no. correspond to chassis!

Just noticed this the other day that mine doesnt??
Chassis no 1200702
engine no. 1200693

Still a facelift engine out of a car 9 cars before mine off the production line

Anyone else notice this? Interesting to see

Hi, yes when I register all my ek9's I have to get the engine number. They are always within about 15 of the chassis. Out of about 100 ek9's I have only ever had one that had the same numbers.
Good way to check for original engine.

mine is just 1 digit out very common for these to be different

Yea mine is only one number out but my friends one is out by 7

Ha, interesting, wonder was it something to do with them handbuilt and some builder couldnt keep up with demand!!
