Just wanting to know guys, if you decide to turbo charge a b18c with over 100,000 miles what would you do to the engine, if anything to make it more reliable?

Cheers

depends what your bhp/whp goal is? and what you use the car for? 100k is nothing if the engine has been looked after, I have done 125k miles in my B16B and its still going strong!

bhp goal is anywhere between 250-300, I just want to be on the safe so I don't have too many problems with it when it's done. Any suggestions of anything that would need to be replaced?

What B18 do you have ? B18C4 good for boosting , B18C6 not so good.

You will need to lower the compression ratio first off to allow you to turbo safely and depends how much boost you want to go for. You could get away with a thicker head gasket and low boost.

For only 250-300bhp first you need to know the condition of the engine so do a compression and leakdown test, if the numbers are good then proceed. Assuming its a b18c4 the CR should be about 10.2:1 which is safe as is for turbocharging with anything under 350bhp with the right fuel and tuning you can easily reach your goal :)

Thanks guys for the answers, it is a b18c4 and I don't want to take it to the limit so I think 250-300bhp is good enough

Once again appreciate the replys

:thanks:
