Going to rebush the ek9.
I'd usually go hardrace but I'm curious to these poly bushes.
Anyone had them? Quality?
Also in after a pretty hard bush so anyone know how hard these are.
70a? 80a? 90a?

Not sure on the rating of them but my crx was fully polybushed with energy bushes. Never had a problem.

Fitment decent and what not? Hopefully I can find something online as to how stiff they are.

I used them upfront on mine and replaced the rears with hardrace arms, no feedback on how they feel yet but they fitted ok

Ok so that's two decent enough veiws on them.
I was worried about fitment being abit off and them wearing fast, I'll try and find the stiffness now

I've just remembered I actually have them in my siR as well, in the front lower arms, were in it when I bought the car. It's only a daily driver so no major abuse but they seem fine after a few years use

Looking like a decent shout then. Fitting the hardrace is hard work, plus I like the idea of the poly just pivoting and not creating a bind like a bush would.

Can't find any info on the durameter.
Power flex do afew different tyres but struggle to find an ek9 set

I will have a look as I think I may still have the packaging, so there may be some info on there.

It should have the part number for the correct front end bush set on it also, - being American made it can be confusing as a 98 ek out there has 2 piece lower arms so you can't trust the listings

Think the set I ordered were for a 99 civic Si

Yeah it's the front lower arm I was worried about.

have them on since 2004. Never had an issue. They are solid as rock, they don't shake the car too. Perfect fitment and quality. Just buy the black ones which are self lubricated as they say (they have graphite on their surface). Get the complete set but the one for the Si versions. They must be equally solid or even more than the ek9 ones.

Must be of decent quality then if you've had them for 11years.
Thanks guys

I bought a set for a ek4 then just bought the D bushes for the rear bar seperate.

Yeah I'm torn now. I wanted this to be alittle cheap hence the energy over hardrace, but part of me wants to go full retard and spherical bearing the whole front end..

Mines got power flex black series everywhere that the hardrace arms didn't replace.
Can't fault them at all, having been on the car 6 months and four track days now.
If I ever take it off the road entirely, I'll rose-joint it, but while it sees some road use that's a no-go.

Ordered the energy set today, will update when I've got everything fitted.

I have just installed one somplet set (the whole car) to an EF Civic the past month, from Energy. The difference is really notorious and well worth, but can't say anything on the "long term use" as it has been installed recently...
Usually, depending on the type of chassis, you will need a press to remove the old bushings. Some of them have the rubber inside steel collars, and these are press fitted at factory into the OEM arms.
With a press and some bits, you will do it right to remove them. Some people just burn the old bushings, and in case there is some steel collar, cuts it from the inside

The whole car is a bit of a nightmare, specailly if you are not familiar with this, but at the end you will do

Ive bushed an ek9 before so I know what I'm doing(famous last words) but I used hardrace ones last time so want to try the poly style ones and see what I think of them. That and they are half the price lol

@jesse888 - Seeing that you have bought and installed both Hardrace and Energy Suspension bushes, do their full kits contain the same bushes as I tried to make a comparison between both kits and one kit has some parts that the other does not have and vice versa. Getting quite confused especially since im not very technical and im trying to search for the best possible bushing kit for my car. :please:

Thanks
