My car massively failed the MOT on emissions. It has no cat fitted which will explain it (I hope) but it also has a Spoon ECU. Are these ok emissions wise or do they tend to be a bit higher than a standard ECU?
I've recently moved and it's a new garage i've not used before and the MOT tester was in a real bad mood (Monday morning). Was moaning about anything and everything on the car.
My usual place would put on a Nissan Micra or something to get me through emissions.

Nah, it should be running closed loop feedback from the O2 sensor which will correct the fueling to a lambda value of 1. Remember, the Spoon ECU was designed for the Japanese market and they are VERY fussy with emissions.
